Hands-on training, roundtable discussion, and live demos prepare IT personnel for new era of AI-driven IT operations
Cupertino, CA, April 30, 2019 — Mist Systems, a Juniper company, announced today that it will be hosting several activities to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven IT at the ONUG Spring 2019 Conference and Expo, taking place May 7-8, 2019 in Dallas. In addition to running the industry’s only AI for IT certification course, which provides hands-on experience setting up and operating a live AI-driven wireless network, the company is leading a working group with Nick Lippis, co-founder and co-chair of ONUG, to discuss how AI can be deployed in multi-vendor environments using open APIs and common telemetry data. Mist also will be providing live demos that show the real-world benefits of AI-driven wireless operations on the ONUG expo floor throughout the entire event.

Course Description:
This one-day session, hosted by Mist engineers, provides the fundamentals needed to bring automation to IT, with hands-on experience setting up and operating a live Wireless LAN (WLAN) environment.

Session Description
A group of industry leaders will expand the industry journey toward AIOps by presenting a framework for a common infrastructure data store. This data may be stored in traditional silos, but with adding access permission for a firewall, switch/router, Wi-Fi, cloud provider, SD-WAN, service management vendors, and more to each other’s infrastructure data. A common infrastructure data store with selected access permission will enable engineers with domain expertise to correlate this data into useful operational dashboards. IT business leaders will share use cases/problems they need their infrastructure vendors to solve or optimize. The goal of this session is to provide a platform for vendors to share infrastructure data so that AI/ML algorithms can be used to drive a range of IT automated operational dashboards that provide an end-to-end view of an application’s dependency map.
